As members of the DTS Community, our children receive many benefits from your support of DTS PiE — from assemblies to enrichment classes to in-class programs. Now, our children need your help once again to sustain these benefits by helping us identify individuals interested in serving on the Executive Board of DTS PiE for the 2023-24 school year.
Seeking Strong Candidates
Do you know someone you think would be a great addition to the DTS PiE Board? Please consider recommending candidates who are organized, with strong communication and enjoy supporting our community. You can even nominate yourself!
No Experience Necessary
It is not necessary that any nominee have previous PiE experience, only that you be willing to learn and actively support the organization and the role it plays as it relates to school administration and the Board of Education.
A Rewarding Experience
As anyone active in PiE can attest, these positions can be very rewarding and many great friendships are developed. Current and past board members will be available to provide training and support to ensure a smooth transition.
The DTS PiE Executive Board positions we are looking to fill for 2023-24 are Middle School Vice President and Elementary School Vice President. These are the board members who seek out programming (such as assemblies), meant to engage and enhance our students’ school experience. MS VP and ES VP often work together to identify opportunities that are suitable across both MS and ES, but may also explore programming for their assigned segment of DTS.
Middle School Vice-President – considered first VP after president, provide effective and relevant support to middle school curriculum; work with MS Faculty on specific requests, seek out programs for MS.
Elementary School Vice-President – considered second VP after president, provide effective and relevant support to elementary school curriculum; work with ES Faculty on specific requests, seek out programs for ES.
All positions have a 1 year term with the option of renewing for a total of three consecutive years. Each position offers those willing to serve highly valuable experience.
Please send any and all recommendations in a reply email to any member of the Nominating Committee, listed below. The Nominating Committee needs recommendations as soon as possible, but by no later than Friday, April 6th, so that we may contact any nominees and develop our recommended slate to present for a vote at our May 8th meeting.
